Home visits are recommended for cases involving:

  • The terminally ill
  • The housebound patient for whom travel to the surgery would cause deterioration in their medical condition
  • Where home visiting makes clinical sense and is the best way of giving medical opinion

Try and phone between 8.30 and 11.00 am to request a home visit for that day

Home visits are not  appropriate for:

  • Heart attack or severe crushing chest pain – dial 999 and ask for an ambulance
  • Minor illness, fevers, cold, cough, earache, headache, diarrhoea, vomiting, back pain
